Inspire

The great thing in this world is not so much where you stand, as in what direction you are moving.” -Oliver Wendell Holmes

Mother EarthGreetings fine people! We wanted to create a site where we could share what we do creatively as well as what we do for our environment which, to us, are very interconnected. We are far from perfect and we have quite a journey ahead of us!

Creatively, we see the potential of art in many things… from the normal pencil to paper, or paint to canvas, things that fall from trees, to things found at a thrift store, things we stumble across while walking to the mailbox, even in the recycle bins and trash cans. To us, “Craft Organic” means helping art create a life of it’s own.

At first, I thought we should have everything in place to set an example for being responsible and engaged citizens. For example, I thought we should have the house free of the toxic solutions we all use to clean and replace them with something environmentally friendly. Then I realized that whole process can be shared as a journey. (FYI: I really dislike bleach!)

As we strive to “be the change” we want to see in the world, we hope to inspire others as well. Check back soon to see what’s new!

I almost forgot the photo you see here of the Earth.  I took this picture outside in the yard to use for this little write up.  We found the red heart in the dirt when we were raking the lawn so we used it.  See…..tools can be buried right in your own backyard!  I also put the reflection of the sun on the little glass Earth to represent what part of the world we live in….I like detail.
